Welcome to the EZ life! October 18, 2008

Today is a gorgeous autumnal day… the kind of day where you feel guilty for being inside and feel energized by the crisp, clear air as soon as you set foot out of your door. For the first fall in as long as I can remember, I am not in school and therefore have no homework, projects, tests, or due dates looming over me. (Although the familiar feeling of “newness” that¬† I have always associated with the changing of leaves and the excitement of football season¬†still washes over me each day as I head out the door to work.) My¬†“New Year”¬†has always started in late August and although it is October now, I have decided to try something new.

This is my first foray into the world of blogging, but through the encouragement of my husband, I have decided to start “the EZ life.” I do not believe that my life is “easy,” rather, it is our first initials that have lent themselves to this title… although, as a newly married couple, we are already striving to simplify our lives and¬†focus on those things that we find most important. It is my¬†intention to use “the¬†EZ life” to¬†share the ways in which we succeed, and fail, to live simply and¬†within our financial means while choosing to find joy in everyday.¬†Check out my categories of “EZ creativity” for¬†creative home-made (which in my book equals “thoughtful and more -affordable”) gift ideas and instructions; “EZ living” for simple, inexpensive, (hopefully healthy- although I do have a sweet tooth!), recipes and meal plans, information about living sustainably¬†(with a¬†special focus on sustainable architcture- my educational background), and¬†other “heathy living” ideas,¬†AND “EZ stories”¬†where I plan on practicing my writing¬†by sharing stories about childhood and growing up. ¬†¬†¬†

Thanks for reading.

Choose Joy,

E
